Bran's Story (The Slave Breakers, #1) - Maculategiraffe, Sabrina Deane This might even have been well written, but the story simply didn't work for me... How can someone who's been a slave themselves and who has an opportunity to free the slaves just keep and sell most of them? And although he was supposed to only sell slaves to "good" masters, they'd probably still be violent, or why was pain tolerance training needed? I just can't understand such a thing. The slaves themselves were even happy about it...Also (after reading a couple of pages of other reviews), how come almost none of the other readers are disturbed by this idea of "good" slavery?!
