Dodger - Terry Pratchett

Although the beginning of the story (after the intense first scene) felt rather slow to me, overall, I enjoyed reading "Dodger". While not as entertaining as the Discworld books, the text still contains many creative word-plays and has an overall slightly humorous tone. Mostly, I would recommend this book to people who enjoy historical novels, but it may also offer something to all Discworld fans. It seems like with this book, Pratchett showed us his inspiration for creating that fantasy world - Victorian London is surprisingly similar to Ankh-Morpork, and some characters also bear a similarity to made-up characters in Discworld.
