Power Play

Power Play - J.M. Snyder A little bit too insta-love, but otherwise, the story (at least the human relations part) felt very realistic and I really liked the MC-s. Both of them had their flaws and problems, but managed to support and help each other get through hard times. This description doesn't do the book justice - most of it was happy and fun to read. Still, the story tackled several difficult topics, so it's not all fluff.

One funny thing I noticed about the language use - maybe it was intentional when writing about inexperienced teenagers, but calling some body parts "hidden skin" or using similar euphemisms felt really weird, especially during otherwise explicit scenes. Still, it didn't detract from my enjoyment of the story, which was definitely above average, so 4 stars from me.
